Enrolled Agents are tax professionals who have demonstrated their
technical expertise in the field of taxation. The EA credential is earned
by passing a rigorous two-day examination administered by the IRS.
Enrolled agents are licensed to represent taxpayers before all levels of
the IRS for audits, collections, and appeals. Also, Enrolled Agents are
the only tax practitioners required by federal law to maintain their
expertise by completing 24 continuing professional education hours
each year. Enrolled Agents are an excellent resource for anyone
seeking up-to-date information on tax related subjects.
